Tony Knott has developed an instinctive knowledge of how the media works and what is expected by them from contributors.
He started as a photographer in the “swinging 60’s” and from 1971 worked in Regional ITV gathering and filming news for regional news programmes, documentaries and dramas.
He later turned his interest to writing for newspapers and magazines and became the property editor for the Reading Evening Post Property Paper as well as contributing a TV review column and a sometimes controversial weekly “sound off” column.
Tony was invited to assist Tony Grundy and John Madejski in their successful bid for the Reading 107fm broadcasting franchise and subsequently co-presented a weekly on-air magazine programme ‘Reading Revealed’. This has now been developed as a very popular newspaper feature for the Reading Evening Post.
He has acted for a very respected estate agency writing editorial and advertorial copy. He was recently invited to contribute to the building-up of a brand image for a newly expanding property company in Reading by ghosting editorial interviews, designing and copy writing advertising matter and brochures.
He possess a bright and sometimes quirky style in writing which attracts editors and readers alike. Importantly Tony has kept abreast of all the enormous changes in the media that have been prompted by the IT and digital revolution.
