Page 3 of 5 "Currently delivering more than 60 billion ads per month and running at 30% load during peak across all data centers" www.doubleclick.net No other form of media in history has been as effectively monitored as the Internet. Television and newspapers rely on surveys to find customer usage, preferences, reading and viewing habits. We have all filled out guarantee forms that ask us unrelated personal lifestyle questions when trying to obtain the warranty on say a kettle. Yet I would say that no market survey company has ever asked you any questions about your habits on the Internet. Do they want this information? Is it useful? I think it is. It could be that the Internet is still in its infancy or large corporations have other means of obtaining this information. I dont know the answer to this question, but it is a simple fact that of all the lifestyle surveys I have ever had they can ask me the colour of my car but not which web sites I visit. It is safer to assume that they already know. |
