One of my roles at LeadSure is to manage the receipt of expert panel questions. We are now getting quite a few coming in on a regular basis. What surprises me is the type of questions being asked and the location of the businesses. We have a high number of questions from overseas. Some are from the Far East, others are from Europe. We do get our fare share of domestic expert panel questions but it seems to me that although the questions vary greatly in what they ask they have a common theme.
Who do I Turn to?
It appears that many businesses do not know where to turn to for advice and often find themselves feeling isolated and trying to manage an opportunity or problem alone. Some of these problems are high class, that is they simply do not know how to manage growth, others are simply looking for a reliable, trustworthy IT supplier.
Raising finance is often at the core of the questions. Most of the businesses are not start ups but have been trading for a while, have a good cash flow and are looking to grow to the next stage.
The hurdles they have to cross are seated in:
- How do I manage this growth?
- Where do I turn to for advice?
Silos
Many advisory bodies and large organisations place small businesses in silos. They look at the companies turnover and employee base and place them with advisor that are suited to there size. Well I think I am being a little generous here. Small business advice from large lenders tends to be from the new trainee working his way up the corporate ladder. They do not have the experience of dealing with small businesses and do not understand the unique problems that small businesses owners face.
At LeadSure we go beyond these silos, we actively encourage entrepreneurship. Our expert panel members have a vast range of experience that stems from organically growing a business from a one man band to a global entity. Some businesses may not want to follow that route, and at LeadSure we are aware of the many reasons you started your company. Most importantly we are here to help, guide and nurture.
Joining us means you can ask more than a question, it is more like forming a partnership. At every stage of your business life we are here to help and guide you. It costs nothing to ask a question but if you are like me and have spent a few sleepless nights pondering over an issue. Why not ask us? We may point you in the right direction and the new relationships you make could be the best thing for your business. Why not get in touch using the form below.
